How to Take Screenshots on Mac

Taking screenshots or print screens is indeed an important job for some people. For those who often work to make tutorial articles and reviews like me, it's mandatory to know how to screenshot along with keyboard shortcuts.

Mac or MacBook computers use OS X or macOS, which of course has a screenshot or print screen method that is different from Windows. Even Mac keyboards are also different from Windows so it's normal for Mac screenshot keyboard shortcuts to be different.

Now there are several ways to screenshot Mac that you should know, along with a keyboard shortcut that you also need to know. By knowing how to print a Mac screen, you can determine which method is best for you to try to take your Mac OS X or mac OS computer screenshots.

Full Screen Mac Screenshot

This screenshot method is arguably the easiest. You don't need to think about the area of the print screen or screenshot because the results of this screenshot are a full screen. Everything you see on your Mac or MacBook screen is what will be taken in the print screen or screenshot process.

How to screenshot one full screen is also very easy. Just press the shortcut Cmd + Shift + 3 only. You can hear screen shots, which means the screenshot process is complete. You can see the screenshot results on your Mac OS X or MacOS Desktop.

Mac Screen Part Screenshot

Maybe you want to take pictures from the Mac screen only in part. Yes, you can do it without having to take a full screen for you screenshot even though you can edit the screenshot results.

You can just press the Cmd + Shift + 4 shortcut. You will see the mouse cursor icon will change to the selector that will select the area to print. Just click and hold, then drag in the area you want to print screen. Screenshot results will be saved on the Mac Desktop.

Screenshot of One Windows Mac Program

Taking a print screen manually one window with the selection of the method above might be possible, but the results will not be able to neatly use the Mac screenshot shortcut which is intended to print screen one full window.

Simply prepare the application window or program that you want to open the program, then press the shortcut Cmd + Shift + 3 + Space (Space). The cursor icon will change to a camera icon which will give you a window notification which screen you want to print. You can see the results on the Mac desktop.
